Recently a Costa Del Mar Sunglasses salesperson reported to the authorities that a man was selling the famous shades out of a gold Ford Ranger in Panama City Beach Florida. The report included the man’s vehicle tag number. Evidently, the man is selling more than just Costa Del Mars. He was also wanted for reportedly selling some stolen steaks the tag number of a man selling the brand’s sunglasses out of a gold Ford Ranger in Monroe County. Further evidence points to the fact that the man is working with his son in the burglaries. Now that’s what I call style. Steaks and shades. I wonder what the sales pitch was? “Steaks and shades for sale here. Get your cool Costa Del Mar sunglasses and while you’re at it, why not buy a steak from me too?” I would think that might be a dead give-away that something might be up. Hmmm. “Sir, you’re selling steaks and sunglasses out of your car. Are these hot?”

Now I know that Costa Delmar Sunglasses are some very nice shades, but stealing 63 pairs? It was recently reported that a 19-year-old man was arrested and charged with swiping $16,000 worth of sunglasses in Okaloosa County. Apparently he broke a window at a place called Eyewear Unlimited early in the morning back on December 1st and took a case of the Costa Delmars. A Crime Stoppers tip last month led to a home and eventually the case of sunglasses was found under the residence. Some of the shades were sold and others were even given away. So if anyone tries to give you a really expensive pair of sunglasses, you might want to be a little suspicious. The perpetrator is being charged with burglary and grand theft.
