It took 96 hours of labor to make the shades. What do you think the cost is for such a pair of high fashion, high technology sunglasses. If you guessed a $1000.00, you would be off by about three grand. The new sunglasses will cost $4000.00, which is about the cost of a fancy Swiss watch. Yes, the luxury world is experiencing a cultural shift right about now. I would say this is definitely broadening the very meaning of the word luxury. Sunglasses that cost this much is not for the average consumer.
