I refuse to wear what is 'popular', just because a magazine or store says 'this is in fashion'. ie: big sunglasses, popped collars on polo shirts. By doing so, aren't you just 'following the herd', instead of having your own identity..?? When i go out on a Saturday night, so many guys are wearing the same outfit/hairstyle. It drives me insane!! Yet… girls find it appealing?
i sort of agree with you but i don't believe anyone out there is truly individual. things that start out against mainstream fashion end up taking on a life of their own; goths, emo, punk, hip hop etc etc etc. so even if you think you're going against it all, you end up looking the same as a whole bunch of different people!
i totally agree with you though, the clones you see on nights out are so not hot. lol. ugh.
